Sorry, We are updating this restaurant menu details.

just got back from Harry and Larry's and I am stuffed and happy. Great ribs and the very nice lady manager (wish I had her name) let us taste some of the other meats and they were all outstanding. We had fries with our ribs and they were crispy and yummy. I wanted to take a rack home with me but my sister said they would still be there and we could go back, so we just got a rib sandwich for my brother in law. He is eating it now, I wish I had brought some more home! We really liked the look of the place , old signs and cool stuff too look at. It is a small place but their take out window was hopping. should give this place a try if you like your meat smoked and service friendly!

This place has amazing, authentic BBQ! It is easy to pass by because it's just a little hole in the wall but the smell is what made us notice it and go in! They have a window from the street that you can order food to go or you can go in and sit down. I got the beef brisket sandwich and it was amazing. Food came out super quick. Their BBQ sauces are great too! Will definitely be going back!

Awesome BBQ! Best in Orlando area!! Pretty much everything on the menu is awesome, but I seem to always go back to the pulled pork sandwich with okra and sweet potato fries! Try out all of their BBQ sauces!

If the smell doesn't draw you into this hole-in-the wall BBQ joint in downtown Winter Garden, then it must be closed (more on that later). This is a wonderful family-run place that serves some delicious BBQ. I tried the pulled pork and it was a good choice. The meat was moist and had a high smoke content, so if you love your BBQ smoky, this is the place for you. Great variety of sauces ranging from mustard, sweet, to very hot. The only reason I dock a star is the portion for the platter was on the small side. My wife got the sandwich and it seemed like we had the same amount of meat. A note on their hours (closes at 8pm, closed Sun)... They are very frustrating. I am not holding that against them (a review should be about your experience), but I would be lying if I said they didn't frustrate me. Downtown Winter Garden of 5 years ago is very different than today. On a Friday night at 8:15 when there's an hour wait for WG Pizza Co, Harry and Larry's is already closed (and the faint smell of delicious BBQ is still in the air). That would be fine 5 (or even 2) years ago, but Winter Garden is booming now! Even an hour longer on a Friday or Saturday night would help!

The best BBQ I've had thus far in the Orlando area; and I've tried many. The staff is very friendly, the meat is moist and smoky, and the sides are great. Very tight space with only a few tables but we were able to grab one of the three outside on a nice evening. I'd definitely recommend this to all Floridians. (I'm from TX so the bar has been set high). :)

What looks like a hole in the wall BBQ restaurant is actually downtown winter gardens best kept secret. Or at least it was until my roommate found it. This BBQ has he options between Turkey, Pork, Beef or Brisket. A variety of sides. I've heard great things about the fried pickles but today I had sweet potato fries and they were great. If you're in the area and you're hankering for BBQ Harry & Larrys is the best option!

This isn't quite a hole in the wall, but it is a rather small place. They make great use of their space, however, and it works. We ate outside and got service from the front-facing service counter. Service was quick and friendly. The food was great and very well priced. We had brisket (great smokey flavor), turkey (very moist), q-stew (awesome!), along with baked beans (I love the different beans in the mix), green beans (too much salt, but cooked well), and cole slaw (a little too liquidy). I'd love to come back! It's a great place to visit for quick service, great food, and good prices.

My friend and I were looking for a well known place for BBQ ribs. He told the cashier he doesn't eat pork . She told us they have brisket. So we got a half a pound of brisket, cole slaw, and sweet pot. Fries. The fries were AMAZING! The cole slaw was bland. My real complaint was about the brisket. For a place that is well known for BBQ this brisket was very underseasoned. It had an over smokey taste which really over powered the watered down sweet BBQ sauce. I'm kind of disappointed. I will return , but only for the fries.

  • Vanessa L.

So yummy! The brisket is delicious. My only complaint is the sauces seem to be lacking a bit of something, but not sure what. But it's really good nonetheless. And quick. I love the interior. They do have outdoor seating which I prefer, but it was raining when I visited.

Outstanding little joint. Order at the counter, just about all the usual suspects are available in this long, narrow, little gem squeezed in among other shops and restaurants on Main St. in Winter Garden. Get the brisket sandwich. Thick cut, but tender, moist and smoky, with a delicious perfectly rubbed exterior, served up on thick cut, buttery Texas Toast, absolute perfection.. Took me right back to my Dallas days. Baked beans were a mix of pinto and navy beans with tender cooked pork...smoky, meaty goodness with just the right mix of spices. If you like it hot, try the xxx hot sauce, dark, rich, and a little sweet, with a killer habanero kick, great on the beans and brisket. Don't pass this one by, brisket done right is a rare find.

I come here several times every time I visit Florida. The menu is just what a BBQ place should be. Locally owned everything fresh and perfect.

Simply outstanding! Get a brisket sandwich to go and walk down the street to Crooked Can Brewing Company. BBQ and beer paired perfect!

  • Mark C.

Nothing new since our last experience. Ordered the same things (brisket, pulled pork, sweet pot. fries and okra) to see if perhaps some setting was off from first visit? No difference. Great sides still, but we simply cannot eat meat with that burner taste. The help here are sooo friendly and nice by the way. Guess H&L is off our list for good. Can't please everybody.

Around Orlando, 4Rivers gets all the press, but there's plenty of stiff competition. Harry & Larry's serves up some excellent BBQ. I was quite impressed with everything I tried, and will definitely stop back in next time I'm visiting Winter Garden.

Super quick service! I ordered the pork sandwich, coleslaw and baked beans. I didn't like the beans, but that is just my personal preference. I will be back to try everything else. Well done!

The menu here is very limited but I don't seem to mind because they're good at what they do. It's cramped inside and parking is a nightmare but they still seem to stay busy and I can see why. I usually get the sausage platter with sweet potato wedges and coleslaw. The smoke rings on the sausage are vibrant and the sight of the plate in front of me has been known to make me drool. The sweet potato wedges are fat and thick the way they should be, as well as crispy and slightly charred on the outside with the sweet sugary flavor of sweet potato that we all know locked inside. The coleslaw is flavorful and accompanies the meal very well. FUN FACT: They have something on the menu called a "Man Salad". Although I've never tried it, it is comprised of french fries instead of lettuce and I'm told you must display certain feats of strength in order to prove your worthiness of even buying it.

My friend said he found a new BBQ place we needed to try and I'm always up for BBQ. We weren't sure what this place had in store for us, but it turned out to be wonderful. This place was a complete surprise with everything home made. Everything from the BBQ sauces to Grandma's baked beans are home made. When we arrived, we asked what was the best and the entire staff had their favorites. And you know what, all the recommendations were great. The pork, beef brisket, and smoke sausage were all given thumbs up by the group. If you want to enjoy good BBQ, friendly staff, and family recipes you need to visit Harry & Larry's BBQ in downtown Winter Garden.

I was in downtown Winter Garden on Saturday for some meetings and suddenly found myself with some time to grab a quick lunch. I made a bee line for Harry and Larry's! I got there around 11:30am and it was not crowded. I decided to eat in and gave my order to the young girl behind the counter. This was not the same girl that normally works the counter (or at least not the same one I normally get) and she was very nice and actually smiled! She seemed to be enjoying her work and her customers. After about a 5 min wait, my food came out. Total Yum! I ordered the Pork Combo which includes a BBQ pork sandwich and two sides and a drink. I got coleslaw and french fries as my sides. The sandwich was hot as was the fries and I put the mild sauce on it. I like the fact you can put as much or as little sauce on your sandwich as you want. Some places you don't have that choice. As I ate, the place started to fill up with the lunch crowd so I suddenly found myself being stared at for my table! I finished up and was out the door! Food is always great... service is somewhat fast... staff is for the most part pleasant but can be sometimes a little grumpy but I think that comes from the fast pace they are trying to do when it gets busy. They are just concentrating on making sure the orders and correct! I highly recommend Harry and Larry's for some great BBQ if you are in the Winter Garden area!

Just go. Seriously. My roomie was searching for some good BBQ so we decided to check this place out for lunch. I got a brisket sandwich meal which came with two sides, so I got fried okra and coleslaw. The sandwich was amazing. The brisket is seasoned so well and just falls apart and melts in your mouth. And all that deliciousness is sandwiched between the buttery goodness of Texas toast. The fried okra was, well, fried okra, but it was fresh and crispy and delicious. The coleslaw is always my test at any place and theirs passed. It was fresh and still crispy without being overdressed. The sauces they have are also fantastic, my favorites being the mustard and sweet BBQ sauces. Give it a try. Good prices, cute little local BBQ place!

Great barbecue joint in downtown winter garden. I actually prefer it over the nearby 4rivers because this place is a bit more casual and laid back. They have an outstanding brisket sandwich and the fries and coleslaw are top notch. I only have 2 complaints, 1) the prices are a bit steep especially when you tack on a side and drink to the order. A sandwich platter with a drink is gonna run you over $10. The fries are good but you sure don't get a whole lot of them. I usually oder the platter with 2 sides of fries and then tack on an extra side of coleslaw. 2) the bbq sauces are not spectacular. The hot bbq sauce is okay but the other ones are pretty underwhelming. They are on par with what you would get at a Sonnys or other chain style bbq joint. Not that it's a bad thing but with how well they smoke the meat and do all the other stuff you would expect the sauces to be on the same level. Overall though I love this place and the atmosphere so I'll be back again and again.

Friendly owners and staff, awesome food! The BBQ is wayyyyy better than Four Rivers and doesn't need all those fancy sides. Simple, delicious.

Love this place! Brisket is tender and juicy and tastes lightly of smoke. They didn't skimp on the smoke time for their meat.

  • Nathan H.

Very tasty! Had the beef brisket with two sides. The sweet sauce was great, everyone was friendly, and the atmosphere was very down to earth. 5/5. First review I've written on yelp because it's the first place worthy of taking te time to do it.

Great BBQ location. Sweet potato fries are great. The platters are big enough for 2 and plenty to take home for later. Staff is friendly, small outside seating if you have your dog with you.

Yummy and fresh. This is tasty bbq! An array of sauces augment slow-cooked ribs that fall meatily off the bone. Looks like s hole in the wall but don't be deceived.

Stopped by while at the plant festival this weekend. Walked by the first time but it was only 10:30 and the sign said 11:00. Walked to the farmer's market and were going to go to Urban Flats but opted for BBQ. Sure glad we did! Friends of ours had been there and did not care for it. To each his own BBQ I say! Friendly staff and a clean dining area. Did not know they had indoor seating and since outside was already full we were glad they did. Fast service, hot and delicious.. I had the pulled pork sandwich with cole slaw. Like to put the slaw on the sandwich. My dining companion had the brisket with BBQ beans.. We each tasted everything and liked it all. Beans are different but good. Cole slaw was perfectly moist and tasty. The brisket was a little dry but with sauce was good. Wanted to go back today but will have to wait!

Great little place to eat after a long bike ride! It's like a little sliver in the street so it's hard to miss. That's what makes it cool! Very good food at a very reasonable price! Sweet Potato Fries are Awesome! Great Addition to the Winter Garden motif...

Fantastic barbecue!!! This is probably my favorite place for good, homemade barbecue. Family owned is a HUGE selling point for me here as well. You see the same faces every time you go. WAY better than 4Rivers(3stars) or Sonny's(2.5stars). I haven't had anything here that I don't like. The only drawback is that they're closed on Mondays and because they're family owned, they do close on random days from time to time.

My new fav bbq joint! I was there around 3pm on a Friday. Very few customers at that time of day. The food was wonderful and the service was quick and friendly, but I can imagine it's crazy during peak times. It's not a big place. Unless you are vegetarian, you won't be able to walk past the open order window because the smell of smoky BBQ will pull you right in. The brisket platter was excellent, they don't drown their meat in sauce like 4 Rivers, yay! I like to add my own, thankyouverymuch. Good sides too. I'll be back for sure.

Harry and Larry could easily take this restaurant to a 5 star level with very little effort. The menu and pricing is already there not to mention the tender and moist meats coming from their smoker. The homemade sauces need some work though for more taste that compliments the meats. The XXX sauce is a habanero based sauced and brings the heat you would expect but too much heat overwhelms the meats. Tasting the meats without sauce they are fork tender with good smoke flavor but lacking other spices that would really make them outstanding. All of the side dishes are home runs - fresh cut french fries, fried okra, bbq beans from scratch, and juicy cole slaw - yummy! Being a bbq snob I would still return to Harry and Larry's but I hope they keep working on the flavor profiles of the meat and sauces so this little David of an establishment can take on the numerous Goliath corporate joints in the area.

Harry and Larry's continues to be one of our favorite BBQ places in Central Fl. Although it is not fancy, the food quality is excellent. Our favorites are the ribs and pulled pork. During our last visit we tried the smoked turkey and the beef brisket. Both of these wee excellent. The french fries and sweet potato fries are great sides. I consider myself a BBQ snob. This place is worth the drive. Downtown Winter Garden is quaint and cozy.

Holy smokes this place is good! Great little location (I mean small) but the food is big enough to satisfy. Can't say enough about the beans and the fried pickles, that's right fried pickles!!

Really great local BBQ. My wife any I drop by every now and then, and have never had a bad meal. We think Harry & Larry's really excels in the flavor of the meat - their pork and brisket always come out tender and really tasty. Favorite sides include the sweet potato fries (big and crispy) and coleslaw (sweet, tart, and chilled). Sauces are also our general favorite of any BBQ place in Orlando. Never a big line (unless there's a festival going on at Plant Street), and quick and friendly service with the food brought to your table. 4-Rivers gets a lot of attention, especially with their new location down the street, but we're not fans of the long lines and the meat isn't as well seasoned. Do yourself a favor and head to Harry & Larry's. It's small, charming, and has big portions at a good price.

Great local BBQ! Don't be concerned about the understated storefront -- great things lie inside! The service was friendly and fast, and the food was wonderful. Great home-style BBQ with sauces to customize BBQ to you're liking (spicy, sweet, vinegary). We had the pork BBQ sandwich and beef brisket sandwich which were both served on yummy Texas toast. We also enjoyed the side of sweet potato fries -- these are unlike any sweet potato fries you've ever experienced! Thick cut and crispy, not greasy at all. The best part is that you can get a meal under $8, including a drink (or two sides)! Highly recommend.

Had lunch here today Had the pulled pork sandwich which was good but the fried okra wasn't as tasty as other places.

Nice little bbq shack in old historic winter garden. Me and my wife shared a bbq brisket platter with sweet potato fries and cole slaw. Portions was a little small but satifiying for the both of us. Flavor of the brisket it was very smokey and tender. The sweet potato fries was ok tasted better fries that tasted like sweet potato fries. The coleslaw was very good. Probally the only thing we would go back for seconds for.

Really good, cheap food. I loved the atmosphere. The pulled pork was great, but I haven't had time to try anything else. Good sauces. I was there on a very busy afternoon, when the garden show was going on. Service was fast and efficient. Do not expect tableside service - you order the food, carry it yourself to a table, then bus the table yourself. Not a high end place, just really great food.

Gotta love the tiny barbecue place in pretty downtown Winter Garden. This is good Southern style barbecue, done very well. Sandwiches on Texas toast are probably your best bet--you really can't go wrong! The service is very fast, there is surprisingly adequate seating for such a narrow store, and everything is clean. And they have Cherry Coke! :)

  • Staci D.

First time here. The food was very good. The portions were a nice size on pulled pork sandwich. The ribs and brisket were superb! The sides are good too. We had baked beans and sweet potato fries. The service was good too. Attentive staff.

  • Andrea H.

This tiny little place may look like a hole in the wall but the BBQ is delicious! There is a famous BBQ nearby but its nowhere near as good as the BBQ here. I always get the same thing every time I go--the beef brisket with a side of garlic bread, coleslaw, and French fries. And I mix the sweet and what I think is a mustard BBQ sauce together to dip the beef brisket and fries in. Yum! And the coleslaw is sweet-just how I like it! The one downfall to this place is that its pretty small and there aren't a lot of tables. There are a few tables outside however. Definitely my fav BBQ place around here!

My husband, daughter, and I decided to go check out Downtown Winter Garden last week since we live reasonably close and have never deviated much off of 50. While walking on Plant Street, a wonderful smell caught my husband's attention. It was the scent of good barbecue, something we rarely smell since moving out of Houston seven years ago. This place looked like a little hole in the wall, but the smell said it all. My husband asked for a small sample, and when the brisket had the appropriate smoky flavor rather than tasting like roast beef, we opted to get lunch there. We got a family meal for $34. It consisted of 1 1/2 lbs of the meats of our choice, two sides, and six slices of Texas toast (which we didn't eat since we're trying to avoid wheat). For meats, we got the brisket, pulled pork, and the sausage. All of the meats were very tasty. For sides, we got their baked beans and fried okra. The baked beans were a mix of several kinds of beans. It tasted like a little meat was thrown in there, and it had a good smoky flavor as well. Different, but very good! We were disappointed with their barbecue sauces and feel there is definite room for improvement in that regard. However, the meat is good enough to eat without it. Tbh, I feel that for that price, you should get more meat-2 lbs would be more reasonable. If my daughter and I hadn't had a late breakfast and not been all that hungry, there would not have been enough food for 3 people, therefore negating the validity of calling it a family meal. But for food quality and friendly staff, I will still give this place 4 stars, and we will be back.

Super awesome barbecue!! Love the pulled pork and beef brisket. Very friendly and helpful staff. The only thing I don't like: They are always out of baked potatoes. Get your food take away and enjoy friday nights at the gazebo with music.

Basic bbq. Sides are boring. No alcohol. Didn't have anything my kid would eat. Place is small. Wont go back. Did I mention no alcohol?

I recommend the salad the call "Caesar salad." You get a choice of each of the types of BBQ meats they have. I like the gold vinegar BBQ sauce on top!! Yummy yet healthy!!

When dealing with Florida BBQ, I have never tasted better than this joint right here. It's small and easy to walk by without noticing, and if you do you're definitely missing out. The pork is the most tender I've ever had (even more than the BBQ I had in Austin, TX) and the baked beans have an incredibly potent smoked flavor. The sweet potato fries aren't salted and are best paired with the restaurant's sweet sauce. The regular fries are fantastic as well, tasting more like a crispy potato than frying oil, which is a rare occurrence in modern restaurants. As for the decor, the interior is rustic and laid-back. Anyone can walk in and feel welcome. As we were eating, one of the staff stopped by to ask us if we had ever tried fried pickles. I had but my girlfriend hadn't, so he brought some to the table, free of charge. Top-notch food and top-notch service out of this hole-in-the-wall. Winter Garden is a solid 30 minute drive from my apartment, but I will return for this BBQ.

  • Michael K.

It may be a small little hole in the wall type place but, those can be some of the best finds. The BBQ seems to be the important thing to this place. Not that the decor doesn't take you back to a better time in our history. The passion and love for great BBQ shows with it's tender and flavorful meats. You can taste the smoke in their tender brisket. Great deep flavor of the pulled pork. Sides kind of lacking. Might be due to the fact of being a festival going on. All around a great Florida BBQ experience. Odd days and hours but if you can find it open don't miss it.

  • Robb K.

The pulled pork is really good and so are the sweet potato fries. The coleslaw is average and I am not a big fan of buttery Texas toast. I know a lot of people like the buttery Texas toast with BBQ I am just not one of them. I do like their meets and their BBQ sauce. The price isn't too bad and their service is pretty good. This is good quick option for BBQ.

    (4)
  • Larry H.

Great food. Sweet potato fries are to die for. You get to add your own sauce which is good since we all have different taste. The slaw was fresh and crisp. You order and then sit down at a table and a short wait for your food. The place is neat and clean. We were there on a busy downtown night and it Would have been better to have a waitress rather than standing in line to order. Just saying....it doesn't take away from the food.

  • John D.

Now these ladies are doing BBQ right! Wow, my mouth waters thinking about the pulled pork here! So good everything is on point and consistent! Only setback is no mac and cheese. and I would love some fresh cut fries... the other sides and any of the meats are AMAZING!

I know 4 rivers gets their fair share of PR. This little place is a hidden gem in downtown WG. Best fried pickles. Baked beans not a big deal but pulled pork is really good. Give it a shot!

This place was great. I am a big fan of BBQ ribs and they do BBQ ribs the right way. Never boiled always slow smoked. The staff was also very friendly and inviting. I definitely would recommend this place to anyone that likes BBQ and wants good food with a good atmosphere.

I kept hearing that Harry and Larry's was better than 4 Rivers so on a Saturday afternoon with nothing better to do we made the drive out to Winter Garden. We couldn't decide what to get so we basically ordered most of the menu. I had been craving brisket for a while and theirs did not disappoint. It had great smoke and the perfect amount of fat (a lot). The ribs were nice and tender, though not the most flavorful ribs I've ever had. The pulled pork was delicious and smoky both by itself and in the baked beans. The rest of the sides (Texas toast, fried okra, fried pickles and French fries) were good, if not remarkable. You order at the counter and someone brings your food out to you. Service was friendly and quick. I don't know if I would say Harry and Larry's is definitively better than 4 Rivers. While they both serve barbecue, they're two very different restaurants, so it's hard to compare them as a whole. I think their brisket is better and once you're there, it's definitely less of a hassle since you don't have to wait in line. They have a simpler, more traditional menu, which could be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on your preference. But, if you are a fan of barbecue and you haven't tried Harry and Larry's, it's definitely worth the trip.

One of my favorite BBQ places. The portion for a pork basket and side is big enough to share and still be satisfied. There usually isn't a long wait to order and the staff is friendly.

This nice little hole in the wall serves up the best bbq I've found on the west side. The wonderful smoky aroma that drifts out the front door entices passersby in downtown Winter Garden to at least stop and take a look at the menu. My favorite dish here is the beef brisket sandwich with fries and baked beans. The brisket is on the lean side but moist and very flavorful. There is an assortment of bbq sauces on the tables to add to the meat. (My personal fave is the sweet sauce.) The fries are just okay but the baked beans are terrific and full of delectable chunks of meat.

  • Jared V.

Pretty good joint! I was pleasantly surprised. I dined in on a Saturday evening. I got the ribs, and the wife got the turkey sandwich, which was unsauced on texas toast. They have tasty sauce on the table, but it is a little watery for my tastes (I prefer thicker sauces; this was closer to water than ketchup in consistency). There was plenty of meat on the ribs, though they were slightly overcooked-- a bit dry and did not fall off the bone easily. Their fries were really good-- crispy and not oily like a lot of other places. I also thought their baked beans were pretty good, but didn't have enough barbecue sauce in it so I spiked it to add a bit of flavor. I would like to try their pulled pork next time. Their "Extra Spicy" sauce is pretty hot; I was surprised, as most bbq places that have 'hot' sauce don't even get my nose sniffling, but this stuff did.

I discovered this place over the weekend when visiting Downtown Winter Garden for the farmer's market. We had walked by it about an hour before it opened and the smell coming out of that place made my mouth water. I couldn't wait to try it! Finally, they opened! I got their beef brisket sandwich with sweet BBQ sauce. The beef by it self was so flavorful, which isn't something some BBQ places in the area can say. The sauce was perfect and the buttered Texas Toast it came on ... NOM! I cannot wait to go back!

I've had BBQ in a lot of places in a bunch of states. I've had it smoked, pulled, chopped, you name it. I've been around the block on the cue'. So today, having driven past this place a dozen times, I decided to pull up. Walked in and was greeted by the owner and her assistant up front. The smell of BBQ in the air was intoxicating. I looked over the menu for a few, and decided it was best to ask the boss. She recommended the Brisket sandwich with 2 sides or 1 side and a drink. I opted to go for the 2 sides and also got a small piece of cornbread. The brisket sandwich was served on Texas toast, which was made right in front of me on a really cool toaster machine. The brisket was moist, and had almost no fat (which I liked). There could have been a stronger smoked flavor, but it was very good. The fried pickles were awesome with the dipping sauce, enough said there! The beans were a little bit of a modification on the standard beans, because they had what looked like red beans in the mix with the more traditional baking beans. There was a nice think consistency and you could see the extra meat. I thought they weren't quite sweet enough for me, but a few squirts of the sweet sauce took care of that. The cornbread was a little on the sweet side, but was very soft and moist. The service was with a smile, and the people working in the back of the house were just as nice as the front of the house. Makes me think that they've got a happy crew of employees. I'm sure it helps the BBQ taste that much better. I had a great meal, and will definitely be back for seconds. I've heard their sausage is amazing, so that's on visit 2.

I got the pulled pork sandwich, all of the sauces weer really good. The sandwich was jam packed with meat! The inside looked really cool on the inside. Great place I would definitely go back!

You know - this place is cool looking and it sure smells good. Sadly, the line was sooooo long to get their treats I didn't feel like waiting. All those folks can't be wrong!!!
